the movie is not so much vulgar as real..
Dont compare it with the original devdas, just cause the names are similar..
the movie is much more realistic, modern , compared to earlier film versions of devdas of the 1920s..
you can never be sure about your internet lover, shoaib malik allegedly even ended up marrying the wrong girl ,and lets not forget that dev was emotionally insecure himself..
making a movie is not just about putting grand, larger-than-life sets, and putting conventional dance numbers..
as far as the music goes, it totally complements the movie, amit trivedi is brilliant for coming up with this brilliant dark music which is totally in sync..
to give it a 2.5 rating is heresy, and you should watch it 2-3 times again, maybe that’ll change ur mind
